Goodfellow Warns Residents to Expect Sirens, Traffic Delays During Emergency Drill

Goodfellow Air Force Base is advising residents not to be alarmed by activity associated with a training exercise scheduled for Wednesday. The joint emergency response drill will involve base personnel and City of San Angelo first responders. People near the base may hear sirens and announcements from the installation’s “Giant Voice” loudspeaker system. Base officials also warn that traffic delays are possible at entry gates during the exercise. The training is part of ongoing emergency preparedness efforts.
