Angelo State University announced that a student was found deceased in a residence hall on Monday morning.
A social post reported that ASU is working with the campus and local authorities as they conduct their investigation. ASU also stated there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the campus community.
ASU offers support to students, staff and faculty who may need it. Students can utilize the ASU Counseling Services by calling 325-942-2371 or making an appointment online at angelo.edu/counseling. ASU faculty and staff may work through the Employee Assistance Program.
“Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the student’s family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the post said.
