The San Angelo water supply has made a change recently with its disinfecting system. The water utilities director, John Kaufman, says this annual preventative is common for municipal water systems to clear out water. The city normally uses chloramine to disinfect water but for the next month only chlorine will be used. Users might notice a slight change in the odor, taste and appearance of the water for a couple of weeks. The water will still be safe to use and drink as normal.
