In HS boys basketball, the Central Bobcats routed Odessa High 69-35 in San Angelo and the Bobcats pick up their first district win. It was the 20th win this season for Central who’s 1-1 in district play. Squeaky English led all scorers with 25 points…the Lake View Chiefs are off to a 2-0 start in district following a 49-33 win over Snyder at Lake View. The Chiefs have won seven of their last ten games and Braylon White had a huge night with 25 points for Lake View. White surpassed 1,000 points for his career in the game.
In HS girls basketball, the Central Lady Cats lost a close one in a defensive game, a 24-21 loss at home to Odessa High. The Lady Cats drop to 1-3 in district play with the loss…the Lake View Maidens lost at home to Snyder 54-29 and the Maidens dropped to 0-4 in district play.
