Road Paving Work Begins

The county has announced that it will be paving some of its roads. This is done yearly as part of the county’s regular maintenance program. The county commissioner for Precinct 3, Rick Bacon, said he’s not worried about paving in the heat. The commissioner said 3 times as many roads will be paved, thanks to extra money from the American Rescue Plan Act, which grants direct funding to cities and towns. The paving is estimated to be done by mid-September 2024.
