The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is informing the public that the electric grid should be able to withstand demand through July, but August could be a different story. ECROT claims the chances of power outages increase significantly when looking forward to August according to a new report, which claims the greatest demand on the grid in August will be at night when the sun is down and the wind might not blow to generate renewable power, ERCOT warns.
