With the last trout stocking of the season happening last week, anglers are now hoping to catch fish before it’s gone for good. Texas Parks & Wildlife workers took to the section of Concho River on Friday to stock the waters with trout one last time — and just in time for fishermen looking to capitalize on their Presidents Day free time. The fish are rainbow trout and were raised in a hatchery at Possum Kingdom Reservoir. The fish are stocked as part of the state’s “Neighborhood Fishin’” urban fishing program, which is designed to encourage Texans to get outdoors and fish close to home. The catching limit is five of any type of fish each day. People 17 years of age or older are required to have a fishing license.
