The City of San Angelo, in collaboration with the local unit of
the NAACP and the San Angelo Area Foundation, will be holding
a ribbon-cutting for the grand opening of the new public restrooms
at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. The event will take place
at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 2nd, at the park pavilion. Located at
2121 Martin Luther King Blvd., Officials say the park’s public restrooms
are a testament to the commitment of the community towards enhancing
visitors’ experiences. The project was funded through the community
thanks to efforts of the NAACP local unit and the San Angelo Area
Foundation. The City will cover maintenance costs.
