Fort Concho will mark Halloween with two events on the evenings
of Friday and Saturday, October 27th and 28th. Guests can use their
detective skills to solve the “Murder at Fort Concho” starting at 7 p.m.
Guest detectives report to the Barracks 1 Visitor Center to receive a
briefing, a map and clue sheet, and then they can visit with six period
suspects in various historic fort structures plus four other locations.
Based on the board game “Clue,” the event is open to all for a $10 charge
and $8 for fort members. Last groups are sent out at 9 p.m.
On the same evening, the Fort Concho House of Horrors at the site’s
Quartermaster Building will start scaring guests at 7:30 p.m. and remain
open until 11 p.m. The entrance fee will be $10 and $8 for fort members.
