Last week, a first-ever local Medical camp for High School students took
place. Shannon Medical Center hosted the unique camp for about 2 dozen
area students. Attendees were able to attend lectures, learn new
skills and activities, and participate in clinical rotations. The camp gives
the students a taste of the many medical careers and pique their
interest in medical work. Shannon officials say they hope to expand the camp
for more students in the future.
