A 2-year-old girl lost her life, and 4 others were injured in a 3-vehicle crash
Monday afternoon along U.S. Highway 87 North near Grape Creek. The
crash involved an 18 Wheeler, an SUV, and a Motorcycle. The DPS says
an SUV with 2 young girl passengers was following a motorcycle heading
South on 87. The 18-wheeler collided with the SUV from behind and all
3 vehicles left the roadway. Several emergency response vehicles, including
the Shannon Airmed 1 helicopter, were at the scene. The DPS says the 2 children
were not in safety seats, and the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle
drivers all received non-incapacitating injuries.
