Tom Green County has started its annual County Budget Hearings and
last week County Sheriff Department officials came before Commissioners.
They laid out their needs in several top areas and departments to fund.
They showed the needs for Courthouse Security, department personnel salaries
and the needs of their mental health deputies. Sheriff officials say the department
needs more employees and work toward keeping the employees they currently
have.
