Last week the San Angelo Animal Shelter was at capacity and
nine dogs were scheduled to be euthanized to create space for
new intakes. Concho Valley PAWS was able to place all nine in
adoptive or foster homes. To keep adoptable pets safe and to
avoid euthanasia, Concho Valley PAWS is looking for help.
PAWS is inviting the community to their facility tomorrow from
11 am until 4 pm to learn about becoming a foster volunteer. The
Adoption Center is at 3142 N. US Hwy 67 next door to the San
Angelo Animal Shelter. PAWS staff and experienced volunteer
fosters will be available to answer questions and introduce
prospective foster volunteers to dogs that are need of a foster
or adoptive home.
