A reception with co-workers, fellow commissioners, and friends
and family was held yesterday as longtime Tom Green County Judge
Steve Floyd is retiring. He has spent more than 30 years in service to
Tom Green County, as a commissioner, Justice of the Peace and then
as County Judge. Floyd thanked the citizens of Tom Green County for
the opportunity to serve. Floyds replacement will be Count Judge-elect
Lane Carter, who won the election in November.
