Members of the San Angelo City Council voted yesterday to use nearly
13 million dollars from the Water Capital fund balance to negotiate the
purchase of Hickory new Production Wells and for the Hickory
Treatment Plant and Well Field Improvements. They also allowed a bid
to Engineering Services for Water System Improvements for Hickory
Groundwater Supply Development. The move allows continued water
development to aid the supply of water coming to the city from the Hickory aquifer.
