The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts has been awarded $25,000
from the Carl B. & Florence E. King Foundation. The funds are
program support for STEAM outreach and education for rural youth
using fundamentals from the contemporary ceramics collection which
will be implemented by the Concho Clay Studio in collaboration with
STARBASE, a SAMFA managed Department of Defense STEAM
curriculum program located at Goodfellow Air Force Base.
This initiative focuses on broadening SAMFA’s Contemporary American
Ceramics Collection relevance and reach to students and families in
our region which encompasses more than seventeen counties.
