Last evening at the San Angelo Independent School District board
meeting, officials announced the district’s new Military Families
Mission partnership with the National Math and Science Initiative.
This program focuses on communities, schools, and students in
military-impacted communities to ensure high-quality STEM
education. The Initiative leans on the College Board’s Advanced
Placement framework to create consistent learning all over the
country. This ensures that students can stay on track academically
and that they can progress without having to start over once they
reach a new school. The focused initiative will concentrate on
students at Central and Lakeview High Schools.
