A Bexar County woman has filed a lawsuit against Alejandro’s Kitchen & Tequila in San Angelo, claiming she suffered serious injuries after slipping on a puddle of water inside the restaurant. Pilar Cheney alleges the fall happened in September 2023 as she was walking to the restroom and caused injuries to her hip, knee, and other parts of her body. The lawsuit seeks between $250,000 and $1 million in damages for medical expenses, pain, and other losses. The restaurant denies the allegations and argues Cheney may have been partly responsible for the incident. The business is also challenging a default judgment that was previously entered in the case. The lawsuit remains pending in Tom Green County.
