A missing man described as endangered has been found safe after a 32‑hour search south of Christoval. Deputies say 24‑year‑old Timothy Rankin walked away from a monastery while experiencing personal distress, prompting a large‑scale search through rugged terrain. Multiple agencies — including DPS aircraft, Parks and Wildlife, San Angelo police and fire, and volunteer firefighters — used ATVs, drones, and aircraft to cover the area. Rankin was located in a remote part of the county Saturday afternoon and is now receiving care. Sheriff Nick Hanna praised the teamwork that brought the search to a safe conclusion.
