One hospitalized after a shooting reported Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2:41 p.m., near Howard Street and Greenwood Street. SAPD reported that the victim is a 19-year-old male who was transported to Shannon Medical Center. A beige or gold colored Chevy Tahoe was reportedly seen leaving the scene of the shooting.
This is the second shooting incident in San Angelo reported by SAPD in the last 48 hours. An arrest was made after a 35-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the face. At just after 8 p.m. Saturday, the San Angleo Police Department became aware of a shooting victim near the intersection of Chadbourne and 9th streets Enemencio DeLaRosa, 35, suffering from “gunshot wounds to his facial area,” according to an SAPD press release. DeLaRosa was transported to a hospital for his injuries, where he remains in stable condition. Police arrested Alan Helms, 34, at the scene and he was later transported to the Tom Green County Jail, where he was booked on the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
