Stolen Vehicle Chase Ends In A Crash

A teen is facing charges after a stolen vehicle pursuit ended in a crash near West 7th Street and North Irving Street Sunday night, prompting a large police response and street closures on Sunday night. SAPD says officers attempted to stop a green Kia Soul around 9:30 p.m. after it was reported stolen earlier in the day. The vehicle fled, and during the pursuit, it crashed and rolled on its side. Five juveniles were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Police charged the 15-year-old driver with evading arrest in a motor vehicle. The other four juveniles were released to their parents.
