The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a heat advisory for several counties in the region, effective from 1 p.m. Wednesday to 7 p.m. Thursday. The advisory covers Fisher, Nolan, Sterling, Coke, Runnels, Irion, Tom Green, Concho, Haskell, Throckmorton, Jones, Shackelford, Taylor, Callahan, Coleman, Brown, McCulloch, and San Saba counties. Residents in these areas, including cities such as San Angelo, Abilene, and Brownwood, should prepare for temperatures ranging between 105 and 109 degrees.
