With the city under watering restriction until later this year, many residents are turning to alternative resources to keep plants, trees, and lawns thriving. One resource is known as “graywater,” which is water previously used for bathing or washing clothing. While residents within city limits are allowed to use graywater from washing machines, bath and shower water is prohibited. Outside city limits, however, there are no restrictions, offering homeowners a bit more flexibility.
Residents can learn more about alternative water sources for landscaping during a free seminar, Every Drop Counts, at the Tom Green 4-H Center. The seminar will be held next Thursday, June 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.
