The San Angelo Independent School District has announced that its San Angelo READS! Summer Book Patrol program is returning for 2024, giving local children a chance to receive free books throughout the season. According to SAISD, the Summer Book Patrol is slated to launch on June 11 and conclude on July 9. While the program is running, kids throughout San Angelo will be given free, reading-level-appropriate books alongside other items.
