The Angelo State Rams won their opener in the South Central regional in Colorado as the Rams rallied for a 7-4 win over West Texas A&M. The Rams were down 4-3 in the seventh inning when Tripp Clark hit a three-run homer to give ASU the lead. The game ended with the first triple play turned in ASU history. West Texas had the bases loaded with no outs when Ryder McDaniel caught a line drive and the Rams relayed to get the outs at first and second to end the game. The ASU bullpen gave up just one run in over five innings. Caleb Heuertz recorded his seventh save of the season. West Texas A&M defeated Colorado Mesa 4-2 and the Rams will play Colorado Mesa tonight at 7pm. ASU needs two more wins to clinch a spot in the Super Regional.
