Police and City Agree to Work on Pay and Benefits for Officers

As the City’s Meet and Confer team met last week with San Angelo

police officers, they agreed to move forward with asking for approval

of a pay plan that will provide approximately $1.2 million in increases

to police officers beginning 1/1/24. Officials say it is just a tentative

agreement that will require one more Meet and Confer meeting as

well as a vote by the Association members and the City Council to

approve.
