Tickets On Sale Now for Hispanic Heritage Month Banquet

Ticket sales are now live for September’s Hispanic Heritage Month Banquet, which is expected to bring former NASA astronaut Dr. Jose Hernandez to San Angelo. The event will be held in the McNease Convention Center starting at 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 16. Hosted by the San Angelo Hispanic Heritage Museum and Cultural Center, the banquet is slated to bring cultural entertainment, cuisines and speakers all under one roof. A keynote speech will be given by Hernandez, who, according to the banquet’s webpage, is “the first immigrant farmer in space.” Hernandez’s journey from farmland to outer space was featured in  “A Million Miles Away,” a biographical available to watch on Amazon Prime.
